Use of Adaptive Resonance Theory for Vertical Handoff Decision in Heterogeneous Wireless Environment

چکیده

Designing of heterogeneous wireless environment involves several internetworking issues, such as seamless handoff or roaming, mobility management, security and accounting problem etc. One of the major issues in next– generation heterogeneous networks is the issue of vertical handoff for guaranteeing service continuity and quality of service. This paper reports on the design and implementation of multi-criteria vertical handoff decision algorithms in heterogeneous wireless environment. A neural network model has been used to process multi-criteria vertical handoff decision metrics.
